Sometimes, this step needs to go a bit further, and a mediator who is neutral is brought in. This person facilitates the negotiations and helps to move the talks along. In the event a settlement is not reached either by your personal injury attorney or through a mediator, your case may need to go to court. Your personal injury attorney will be able to tell you how they believe your case will proceed.
