December 8, 2006, Newsletter Issue #30: Personal Injury Law - Dog Bites

Tip of the Week

Unfortunately, man's best friend is not always friendly, and dog bites can leave lasting scars. If you or your child has been attacked by a dog, you may have a personal injury claim against the dog's owner. With some breeds of dogs, the dog owner may be strictly liable and in some states, a dog owner is deemed responsible regardless of the breed if it previously bit someone. In any event, you should speak with an experienced dog bite lawyer. He or she will be able to let you know whether you should bring a legal case against the dog's owners.
